Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough has opened a New York office with a partner from JPMorgan Chase Bank to support its real estate capital markets practice.

Steve Hantz was an executive director in the commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) loan-closing group at JPMorgan Chase Bank, where he worked with loan originators and borrowers to structure and close loans for the past seven years. Before that, he worked in a similar role at Bear Stearns. Gillian Deutch joined as an associate from Watson Farley & Williams.
