J. Michael Robison, an Atlanta businessman and former chairman of the city’s tourism bureau, was acquitted of rape charges by a Massachusetts jury on Tuesday after a five-day trial.
Robison, 51, the founder and former CEO of Lanier Parking Solutions and onetime chairman of the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau, was accused of rape by a family friend who said he had entered a bedroom at his vacation home in Nantucket where she was sleeping and assaulted her.
