Covington & Burling has scooped up 19 lawyers, including five partners, from McKenna Long & Aldridge’s marquee Washington government contracts group, The National Law Journal reports.

That guts McKenna’s government contracts practice in Washington, one of the most established in the city. It leaves the firm with four Washington government contracts partners, Fred Levy, the longtime chairman of the practice, told The National Law Journal, an ALM affiliate of the Daily Report.
