A two-day trial over a car wreck netted the plaintiff $100,000 over what the defense first offered to settle, lawyers for both sides said.

A Henry County State Court jury awarded $250,000 to a Columbus woman whose Lexus was hit in the side in 2012 by a man driving a Dodge Grand Caravan. She was driving west on Warm Springs Road in Muscogee County. He pulled into her from Manchester Expressway. The case was filed in Henry County because of the address of the defendant, who admitted fault but contested the amount of damages and whether the wreck caused the plaintiff’s injuries.
