The judges of Cobb County Superior Court will meet Thursday to determine a process for interviewing 24 lawyers who have applied to replace for Chief Magistrate Frank Cox, who announced his resignation last month amid claims he had been abusive to lawyers and litigants.

Court administrator Tom Charron said the judges want to mirror the selection process used by the governor’s Judicial Nominating Commission. The Thursday meeting likely will decide whether the candidates will sit for individual interviews or gather as a group, and lay out a timetable for the selection.
