In the price-fixing class action against makers of TFT-LCD screens, U.S. District Judge Susan Illston has ruled against plaintiffs in their bid to have the case broken into separate trials.

Illston ruled Wednesday that one jury will hear claims by both classes of plaintiffs, who are seeking billions of dollars in damages. Illston also pushed the trial date from April 23 to May 14 to work around pending criminal trials that would have interrupted the price-fixing matter.
