University of Miami law students entered South Florida’s startup community this year, doing pro bono work for entrepreneurs in exchange for hands-on legal experience.
The UM School of Law launched the Larry Hoffman Greenberg Traurig Startup Practicum in January to help clients with legal matters ranging from financing to intellectual property issues that young startup companies face. At the same time, the project offers law students real-world experience, said Daniel Ravicher, a UM professor who oversees the program.
