Here’s another sign the South Florida luxury market is on the rise, fueled largely by New York buyers.

In what could be the latest indication of cross-market synergy between the two high-end markets, billion-dollar New York brokerage house Brown Harris Stevens on Thursday acquired Zilbert International Realty, a Miami Beach-based company known for trading luxury multimillion-dollar beachfront penthouses.
