As the U.S. Supreme Court considers a case that combines free speech and judicial ethics, the justices have some Florida follies from the 1970s to ponder.
The history of corruption in the state Supreme Court is recounted in an amicus brief filed last month on behalf of a dozen distinguished attorneys. Lead amicus Major B. Harding, Harry Lee Anstead and Stephen Grimes are former chief justices of the Florida Supreme Court; four others are past presidents of the Florida Bar.
