Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Dennis Murphy insists it’s sheer luck, but he seems like a magnet for cases involving high-profile sports figures. They’ve included O.J. Simpson, then-Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth and Washington Redskins free safety Sean Taylor.

“Some of the other judges feel I rig the blind file system,” Murphy said. “They just seem to gravitate this way for some reason.”
