Among the major items that Florida’s judicial branch hopes to secure from the 2015 Legislature is a boost in pay for judges and staff, technology upgrades and funds for construction of a new appellate courthouse in West Palm Beach.

State Courts Administrator Patricia Jameson said the request for a new courthouse for the Fourth District Court of Appeal is $16.7 million. Combined with prior allocations, the total cost comes to $23.9 million. That includes a parking garage to serve seven state agencies in the compound where the new courthouse would be placed.
