When he made partner at his law firm, Miami attorney Trelvis Randolph told former law school colleagues, family members, friends and fellow members of the Wilkie D. Ferguson Jr. Bar Association — anyone who would listen “and even those who wouldn’t,” he said.

Randolph, 42, has a special reason to be proud. He’s the only African-American to be promoted to partner this year at Cole Scott & Kissane and one of the few African-Americans to become partner in South Florida at all this year.
