U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Raymond Ray approved the sale of Ruden McClosky to Greenspoon Marder, relegating one of Broward County’s oldest law firms to the annals of South Florida history.

Greenspoon Marder, the sole bidder for Ruden, will take its place as Fort Lauderdale’s largest law firm with 140 attorneys, 400 staff members and offices throughout the state. Greenspoon will pick up Ruden’s offices in Miami, Naples and Port St. Lucie, as well as new practice areas in health care, intellectual property and public finance.
