Two companies are seeking more than $110 million in damages in a negligence and breach of fiduciary duty suit against Russell T. Lloyd and John M. O’Quinn & Associates of Houston, blaming the law firm for a “disastrous result” in underlying litigation in California and Alabama.

Lloyd, who represented the businesses in the California and Alabama suits, responded: “There was no malpractice in that case. We had a bad result, and I’m sorry about that.”
