Gov. Rick Scott has appointed business litigator and insurance defense attorney Rosemarie Scher to the Palm Beach circuit bench, filling a vacancy left by the resignation of Circuit Judge Elizabeth T. Maass.

“Rosemarie’s experience has equipped her to carefully and efficiently apply the law and make a ruling while maintaining respect for all those involved in the case,” Scott said in a statement. “She has exercised firmness and consistency, along with compassion and fairness.”
