The weather and the real estate market are both hot in the Sunshine State. According to Forbes, Florida has enjoyed the United States’ most lucrative housing market during the past year. It’s easy to kick yourself while reading about people who invested during the dip and doubled their property values, but with a steady stream of people moving to Florida and a flourishing real estate market, predictions for 2022 investments are still on the rise.

Today, Florida’s fixed mortgage rates fall between 1.99% and 2.99%. When you compare these record-low rates to the 4.66% mortgage rates we saw in 2018, you see why now is still a good time to consider investing in a Florida home. Waiting for a “crash” isn’t always prudent. The best time to buy is when you can afford it.
