Hardly a day goes by when consumers aren’t confronted with what is being marketed as the latest and greatest bit of technology.

The problem is that technology developers are putting products on the market at break-neck speed without considering the un-intended consequences of these innovations that will allegedly make life easier and make us more efficient. We’ve seen this, for example, with cellphones that allow us to run our lives from these devices. We can schedule appointments, watch movies, socialize with friends from the comfort of our homes, order groceries, and, yes, even make phone calls.
