A jury awarded more than $1.6 million to a man who claimed that he suffered spinal injuries in a workplace forklift accident.

On Feb. 22, 2019, plaintiff Emilio Henriquez, 35, worked at a warehouse that was located at 10957 NW 123rd St., in Medley. A large propane tank needed to be loaded into a box truck’s cargo area. The tank was placed on a pallet, and the pallet was secured and elevated by a forklift. Henriquez, operating the forklift, attempted to drive into the truck’s cargo area.
