Bank of America and Bank of New York Mellon were hit with a civil RICO class action Tuesday in Hawaii District Court. The suit, brought by attorneys Bruce Jacobs and Frederick J. Arensmeyer, accuses the defendants of engaging in foreclosure schemes by inducing Hawaii and Florida-based homeowners to enter into predatory loans with third party Countrywide. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:22-cv-00312, Aiwohi et al v. Bank Of America, N. A. et al.
