A Fort Lauderdale Boies Schiller Flexner litigator is among the attorneys who filed a federal appeal of a potential nine-figure ruling to fight back against the notion that a stockbroker’s use of modern technology to provide brokerage services absolved it of all statutory duties to its clients.

Jesse Panuccio, a Boies Schiller Flexner partner who inked the appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, said if the district court’s opinion in favor of Robinhood Financial LLC and additional defendants holds, it is a dangerous precedent for the clients who use these services.
