A jury found that Daytona International Speedway was not liable for an accident in which a pit-crew supervisor was severely injured during a race.

On Sept. 29, 2013, plaintiff Pamella MacGregor, 60, a compliance supervisor, attended an amateur auto race that was being conducted at Daytona International Speedway, in the city of Daytona Beach. MacGregor was a volunteer pit marshal, overseeing the operations of the pit crew. While she was standing in the pit area, she was struck by a reversing tow truck, which was removing a disabled vehicle. MacGregor claimed that she suffered injuries of her ankles, her head, a knee, her legs and a thumb.
