A waitress injured in a fall at her workplace was awarded more than $4 million by a jury. The suit’s plaintiff, Laurel Krause, claimed that she slipped and fell while walking in a freshly mopped area of the Buffalo Chophouse restaurant in Port St. Lucie.

On Dec. 3, 2019, plaintiff Laurel Krause, 39, a waitress, fell while she was working at a restaurant that was located at 918 SW Gatlin Blvd., in the city of Port St. Lucie. She suffered an injury of an ankle. The restaurant had not retained workers’ compensation insurance.
