Burton C. Conner is now chief judge of the Fourth District of Appeal.
Conner will serve a two-year term, and will oversee all administrative matters of the court.
"My job now affords me the opportunity to collaborate with fellow judges and discuss and debate the law in ways trial judges do not have the time to do because of heavier caseloads and a lack of law clerks to assist them in researching the law," said Chief Judge Conner.
