The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a litany of different experiences. My experience has been twofold. First, I had to undergo the arduous job application process. And second, I had to understand what it meant to work collaboratively in a law firm environment.

When the pandemic caused Florida to shut down, I was a newly minted attorney eight months into a yearlong clerkship. At the outset, I did not understand the scope and degree of the pandemic. Never in my wildest dreams could I conceive of such a cataclysmic event. I was blessed in that I knew where I would be working for the next four months: at home in front of a monitor. However, I had to know what the next step in my legal journey would be. Thus started the job application process.
