Amazon bought a vacant 77-acre site in south Miami-Dade County where the e-commerce giant plans to build a distribution facility, likely its biggest in South Florida.

Seattle-based Amazon.com Services LLC bought the land from the county for $22 million, according to county deeds. The transaction closed Sept. 14 after the County Commission unanimously backed the sale in July.
