A federal appeals court upheld a nearly $5 million jury verdict against the directors of an Atlanta bank that failed due to defaults on commercial real estate loans and let stand a trial court ruling that all the defendants are collectively liable.
The opinion was released after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit sought and received guidance from the Georgia Supreme Court.
