Berkadia Commercial Mortgage LLC, an affiliate of multinational corporation Berkshire Hathaway Inc. — owned by billionaire Warren Buffett — settled a dispute in federal court with Boca Raton-based Pinwick Realty Partners and JPMorgan Chase Bank N.A. over a derailed $9.7 million real estate trade.

Court records show the parties reached a confidential settlement that would prevent Pinwick from reviving the litigation dating back nearly two years after a botched trade involving a Burlington Coat Factory outlet and Winn-Dixie store. Their joint stipulation of dismissal with prejudice filed May 3 asks U.S. District Judge Kathleen M. Williams to end the proceedings, with no request to retain jurisdiction to enforce the settlement agreement.
