An apartment complex in Miami’s Liberty City neighborhood settled its fourth negligent security case in about four months after a series of shootings.

The owners and property manager of the apartments at 7186 NW 14th Place agreed to pay $1.45 million to the 9-year-old son of Jamal Martin, a resident who was fatally shot April 17 outside the building.
