Politically connected Delray Beach developer Anthony Pugliese pleaded no contest to fraud conspiracy and grand theft for allegedly swindling Subway co-founder Fred DeLuca out of more than $1 million while planning to build a sprawling city near Walt Disney World.

Palm Beach Circuit Judge Glenn Kelley set sentencing for Nov. 25. Pugliese faces up to 18 months in prison and 10 years of probation, and he’ll have to pay DeLuca about $1.1 million.
