Last year was a good year for law firms specializing in business and insurance defense, with several climbing rapidly up the Daily Business Review’s annual Review 100 list of the 100 largest law firms in Florida based on attorney headcount.

Among the defense firms rising on the chart are Miami-based Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, which seemingly came out of nowhere to land a spot as the eighth-largest firm with 210 lawyers in Florida alone and offices throughout the country. The firm had never participated in the Review 100 survey previously.
