Both the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice have closed their investigations and declined to take action on allegations of bribery at Net1 UEPS Technologies Inc.

The South African electronic payments company announced the declinations in a July 27 statement, and posted the SEC and DOJ letters on its website. Both letters said the investigations could be reopened if new information came to light.
