The aggressive growth strategy of Coral Gables, Fla.-based law firm Adorno & Yoss has alienated some of its attorneys, leading to the defection of at least 16 lawyers and two practice groups so far this year.

Adorno & Yoss managing partner George T. Yoss acknowledged that the defections were related to the firm’s growth strategy. “There are clearly some growing pains associated with expansions,” Yoss said. “Some feel they have been left behind.”
