Here’s a possible first in the annals of Supreme Court litigation: A party to an upcoming case is releasing a song about it today.

Titled “From the Heart,” the song is by the west coast Asian-American rock band The Slants. The band is locked in a long-running dispute with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office over its name, which the office refused to trademark on the grounds that it’s disparaging.
