U.K. drivers for mobile cab-hailing app company Uber have won the right to be classed as workers rather than self-employed after succeeding in a landmark legal challenge.

The London employment tribunal ruling means that Uber’s 40,000 U.K. drivers are now entitled to workers’ rights, including paid vacation and rest breaks, and must also be paid the national minimum wage, which doesn’t apply to self-employed workers.
