Summa Health System in Ohio has promoted Rob Gerberry to senior vice president and general counsel, according to a recent release. He’s been with the health care provider since 2002 as associate general counsel, providing guidance on all aspects of health care law, including regulatory matters and transactional projects. In his new role, he is responsible for the oversight and growth of some key areas within the organization, such as legal services, internal audit, physician services and governance.
“The industry is evolving at a rapid pace, and having a general counsel who is an expert in all facets of health care law is critical,” said Dr. Tom Malone, Summa’s president and CEO. “For more than 10 years, Rob has guided our organization through complex issues. His leadership is invaluable and I look forward to working with him in his new role.”
