In-house counsel and investment bankers agree that the merger and acquisition stars are aligning to create an environment more conducive for deals, according to one M&A expert.

Takashi Toyokawa, senior editor of Mergermarket/Dealreporter, explained to CorpCounsel.com, “All factors are coming into place for deal making. Corporations have a ton of cash, private equity [groups] have a similar commitment, there are cash balances at portfolio companies and credit terms are returning to their precrisis, 2006 levels.”
