Hooters of America, LLC, has put CLAUDIA LEVITAS on a perch atop its law department. The new general counsel will oversee one other lawyer and two paralegals in the company’s department. The George Washington University Law School graduate replaces CLAY MINGUS.

Levitas will be responsible for litigation management, franchising, licensing, and contract review. She is looking to bring more of the Hooters legal function inside. “As far back as I can tell, we have outsourced all of the franchising work,” she says. “I’m used to having that in-house, where I can provide immediate service to my franchisees.”
