Multitasking is a must these days. Wearing two hats sounds like a good thing, too. But sometimes it can make the life of an in-house lawyer pretty complicated.

Take Larry Parsons, for instance. Parsons works at Freescale Semiconductor, Inc., based in Austin, Texas, where he sometimes functions as a lawyer and other times as a vice president for business conduct and ethics. His full responsibilities include ethics, compliance, labor and employment, immigration, corporate social responsibility, and worldwide investigations, which is why he carries around three business cards.
