According to Gartner research, general counsel anticipate more time spent managing business disruption; heightened environmental, social and governance (ESG) pressures; and additional regulatory enforcement. These increasingly complex demands on legal departments come amid strains related to lawyer exhaustion, rising law firm rates and stiff competition for legal talent.
