While many contract lifecycle management providers are looking to expand beyond traditional CLM functions, others in the legal tech market are looking to spur the same evolution—albeit in a reverse manner. 

The last few years have seen two sides to the CLM market—large fundraising gains for potential expansion, as well as CLM platforms being integrated within existing enterprise systems. Some believe that companies focused solely on CLM will dwindle away as their functionalities are increasingly absorbed by both enterprise resource management and customer relationship management tools.
