General counsels, do you hear the chime of the changing times?

The country is in turmoil. Black people (and thankfully a great number of multi-racial crowds) are revolting against their continuing mistreatment and lack of opportunities. Even the most conservative of institutions are coming to terms with this inequity and the complicity of white institutional policies and practices in the mistreatment of people of color. The NFL, comprised of perhaps the most conservative business owners on the globe, has recently acknowledged their mistake in the mis-“treatment” of Colin Kaepernik for his peaceful kneeling.
