In the wake of the mass shooting at a country music concert in Las Vegas on Sunday night, which has so far left more than 50 people dead and more than 500 injured, CBS Corp. has fired an in-house leader at the company who made Facebook posts that appeared critical of the victims, various media outlets reported Monday.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Haley Geftman-Gold, who worked as a vice president and senior counsel in strategic transactions at CBS, had posted in an online Facebook discussion that has since been deleted that she “is not sympathetic” to victims because “country music fans often are Republican gun toters.”
