It’s time for law firms to get innovative, at least when it comes to online interactions with corporate counsel. That’s the advice from a recent panel discussion during the Legal Marketing Association’s Technology Conference, according to Lindsay Griffiths of the International Lawyers Network. Here are some more technology tidbits from the panelists: Michael Haven of Net App, Olga Mack of ClearSlide, Sharon Segev of Elo Touch Solutions and Alexandra Sepulveda of Udemy, all moderated by Wicker Park Group’s Nat Slavin.

Responding to email within 24 hours is the low bar: “It used to be that law firms and lawyers could brag if they responded to their clients within 24 hours, but that’s now [the] minimum,” explains Griffiths. That doesn’t mean solving their problem or fully answering a complex question within that time frame, but it does mean letting them know you’re working on it.
