Description

Though prosecutors, legislators, and regulators have made some attempts to resolve the problem, automobile insurers are—for now—the primary actors in the fight against no-fault fraud, and the primary vehicle for their action is civil litigation against no-fault insurance fraud rings.

This program is intended as a general guide to no-fault insurance anti-fraud litigation from the perspective of a plaintiff-insurer. No-fault insurance fraud has significant consequences for society. It imposes a "fraud tax" on consumers that is estimated at billions of dollars each year, undermines the laudable purpose of no-fault insurance laws, and exposes not only automobile insureds, but also the general public, to risk.

This program was recorded on October 25th, 2018.
