Description

The panel will discuss numerous rules of professional conduct that are implicated when confronted with a situation where a mistake has been made, and how to ethically respond to that situation. Several real-life hypotheticals that implicate numerous Rules of Professional Conduct will be presented.

Lawyers make mistakes. Some are harmless, some are fatal, and others fall in between. Dealing with them raises issues of how and when to report them to the client, insurance carriers, and maybe disciplinary counsel. Not to mention, what exactly must or should a lawyer report? Further, may a lawyer continue to represent the client? Should she? What if the lawyer can fix the problem? Or hire someone else to fix it?

A panel of expert loss prevention lawyers, carrier representatives, and professional responsibility counsel will address all these questions.

This program was recorded on October 24th, 2017.

Airplane Etiquette and Attorney Ethics
In this program we’re going to talk about Stuart’s Rules for Proper Airplane Etiquette. And what are rules of etiquette? They are rules of behavior. Well, look at that…it just so happens that the ethics rules are also rules of behavior. So let’s talk about how we should behave on a plane, and compare that to how we should behave in the practice.
