David Harris has litigated in a wide range of legal fields, including intellectual property, products liability, and commercial disputes. He has represented major pharmaceutical companies in both enforcement of and defense against intellectual property claims, and most recently served as national/trial counsel in a multi-district product liability and mass tort litigation. Mr. Harris has represented leading media companies in resolving non-public disputes before they require litigation, including trademark, personality, and privacy rights in social media contexts and claims of defamation in international news reporting.

Mr. Harris has also defended senior executives in high-profile securities litigation, and has represented or advised clients in other industries such as telecommunications, retail systems, aerospace, biotechnology, and electronic games. He has comprehensive litigation and counseling expertise, including evaluation of potential litigations, prelitigation dispute resolution; long-term strategic planning; drafting pleadings, motions, and jury instructions; managing eDiscovery; guiding experts through reports and depositions; settlement negotiation; and coordinating clients' litigation communication strategies.

He has also been involved in multiple pro bono litigations on behalf of deaf clients in federal court seeking ASL interpreters under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Additionally, he has spearheaded amicus briefs on national issues as a member of Arnold & Porter's LGBT Resource Group.
