Cindy Carson, M.D.

Dr. Carson received her M.D. from the USC Keck School of Medicine in 2005, graduating with the highest distinction.

In 1982, she received a law degree from the USC Law Center, where she won several awards and honors, including being a finalist in the Hale Moot Court Honors Program, and a Law Review invite. She was admitted to the California Bar that year, and from 1983-2006 was a professor of law at the Whittier Law School.

Dr. Carson was a Dean's Recognition Scholar in 2001-2002 and again in 2002-2003. While a medical student she was awarded the Salerni Collegium Merit Scholarship, the Eric Cohen Clinical Medicine Award, the ACP-ASIM Student Internist Award, and the American Medical Women's Association Glasgow Award. She was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, an honor offered to only those in the top 10% of the class.

Dr. Carson did her residency in internal medicine at Huntington Memorial Hospital from 2006-2009 and opened a private practice in January, 2010. She served as Chief Resident at Huntington Memorial in 2009-2010, and is now a faculty member at the hospital.

Dr. Carson is Board Certified in internal medicine and has published both medical and legal research in numerous journals including those of Harvard University, Georgetown University, and the University of Edinburgh.

Michael began his career as a tax attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and joined Weinstock Manion to focus on estate and wealth transfer planning. His advanced knowledge and understanding of business transactions and tax matters allows him to suggest creative and effective solutions for complex estate planning issues. While in law school, Michael interned for the Internal Revenue Service and served as a Note and Comment Editor for the Loyola Law Review.

Mr. Solarz is an instructor at UCLA Extension, teaching Estate and Gift Taxation, as well as Estate Planning. He received his undergraduate degree from UCLA (magna cum laude/phi beta kappa) and his law degree from the University of San Francisco (magna cum laude).
