Kirkland & Ellis picked up momentum in 2014, with revenue increasing 6.6 percent, to $2.15 billion, and profits per partner lifting 7 percent, to $3.51 million, according to The American Lawyer’s reporting. Revenue per lawyer increased 5.4 percent, to $1.365 million, while net income rose 8 percent, to $1.182 billion. The firm declined to comment on these numbers.

The firm achieved the results without much growth in its lawyer ranks. Total head count was up only 1.4 percent, to 1,576 lawyers; the number of equity partners rose slightly, from 334 to 337, while nonequity ranks stayed steady at 395.
