Herbert Smith Freehills has added an intellectual property partner to its Sydney office.
Rebekah Gay was previously a partner with 40-lawyer Australian firm Shelston IP, where she was also a Sydney partner. Her practice focuses on IP litigation and enforcement, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector.
Gay joined Shelston IP in 2004 and became a partner three years later. Before that, she spent four years as a solicitor at former Freehills. She started her career in 1998 as a solicitor at the firm now known as HWL Ebsworth.
