The newest counsel to Debevoise & Plimpton's business restructuring and workouts group is CRAIG BRUENS. Bruens, who is based in New York, will continue to focus on Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and out-of-court restructuring. Bruens recently left Kirkland & Ellis.

TODD KELLY has joined Jones Day's Dallas office after leaving Norton Rose Fulbright. Kelly will come on as a partner in Jones Day's health care and life sciences practice, representing hospitals, medical groups, and other health care providers.

Littler Mendelson has brought on JOANNA BROOKS as a shareholder in its San Francisco office. Brooks will continue working as a class action specialist, advising on wage and hour compliance as well as other employment issues. Brooks was formally at Jackson Lewis, where she was a partner and head of the firm's class action practice.

Lowenstein Sandler has added JEFFREY BLUMENFELD as a partner and chair of the firm's antitrust and trade regulation practice. Blumenfeld previously worked at Crowell & Moring. While Blumenfeld will be based out of Lowenstein's New York office, he will also spend time in Washington, D.C.

A nine-person insurance team from DLA Piper in Birmingham, England, led by local practice head ALAN JACOBS, has left the firm for Mills & Reeve. Late last year DLA announced that it would exit the insurance market in the United Kingdom after conducting a profitability review of its regional offices. Another British firm, Hill Dickinson, subsequently picked up teams of DLA insurance lawyers and staffers in Manchester and Sheffield. Jacobs, who joins Mills & Reeve as a partner July 1, specializes in road accident and employer and public liability claims.

Morrison & Foerster has welcomed TUSHNA GAMADIA to its real estate finance team. Gamadia will work out of the firm's New York office as of counsel, concentrating on commercial real estate sales and mezzanine loans on both the buy and sell sides. Gamadia has moved from Nixon Peabody.

Paul Hastings has brought on DOUGLAS FLAUM as a partner in its New York office. A litigator, Flaum has moved from Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson.

JOSEPH JEAN recently became a partner at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman in New York. He will work for Pillsbury's insurance recovery and advisory practice group, representing commercial policyholders that include several New York agamadnd New Jersey clients with Superstorm Sandy–related claims against their insurance companies. Jean has moved from Lowenstein Sandler.
